The hour of the Expo is upon us!
The Eurogamer Expo, spanning 4 days and dubbed as the United Kingdom’s biggest dedicated video games event, is set to kick off with an almighty bang tomorrow. It will be opening to the public on the 27th until it sees the month out in style on the 30th. The likes of the WiiU will be playable for the very first time in the UK as soon as the pearly gates of Earls Court open, as well as a whole host of new games that haven’t hit the shelves yet. It doesn’t take a genius to predict that there will be scores of people itching to get their hands on the variety of games that will be available to the general gaming public.
Part of me is hoping that my first ever press pass will grant me access into a secret society of games journalists, complete with our own secret handshake and unique signet rings. We’d be a society of super cool people and no-one would even know we existed. Of course, the other part of me realises that all of this is mighty far-fetched and highly unlikely. The morbid reality consists of yours truly shuffling around the Expo awkwardly by myself for 2 days with a notepad and a camera to keep me company. The reality sucks doesn’t it? Anywho, be sure to check back here in a weeks time for a round-up of my fun filled weekend. Right now, all I can promise is that my next article will contain pictures, a bit of gaming news and finally some of the classic witty banter that I enjoy providing on a weekly basis. Now doesn’t that just sound amazing?
You can follow all of my antics over the weekend via my Twitter account: @Ciaran_Allen. I will be aiming to live tweet some of the days events as and when I see or hear them, as well as uploading a picture or two that I find rather amusing. If I receive any goodies then you guys will be the first to know and the lovely people that provide them will receive credit where it is due. The best part about all of this is that I will be representing GameNTrain over here in the UK and spreading the word!
