Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition is one of the most popular fighting games ever. Now if you’re a US Playstation Plus subscriber, you can get it for free! Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition includes the latest 2012 patch that offers all the latest fixes and balancing issues. This deal from Playstation couldn’t have come at a better time seeing how the Street Fighter 25th anniversary tournament finals have just passed.

I’m a really big fan of the Street Fighter series and I think it’s one of the best fighting games out there. Personally I prefer the speed of the game to similar games such as Tekken where the game is slowed down. I normally play Street Fighter 4 on PC but with it being free for US Playstation Plus subscribers, it will probably get more people playing online on it. Maybe I might go on my PS3 to play it a bit more.

I already own the game on my PS3 so personally it wont be  downloading it, but I will defiantly be telling the people I know that have Playstation Plus to go check it out. Even if you’re not a massive fan of the fighting game genre I still recommend checking it out. You never know, you might enjoy it. The game consists of 39 characters that all have different play styles so there is going to be one for you.

If there is a main problem with the game. The constant saving that the game only does on Playstaion. When you win or lose a game online it saves and that takes around 5 seconds which doesn’t seem like a long time, but when you get passed that screen it then updates your profile and saves again and that takes around 10 seconds. If you’re like me and you want to get straight back into a game and run it back with the player you just lost against then it can get pretty annoying.

But then again it’s not really a massive game breaking tragedy. It’s just something that I found annoying. If you’re new to the fighting game genre and you’ve wanted to try them out then I’d defiantly recommend this game. I play fighting games using a Mad Catz Street Fighter x Tekken Pro Fightstick. I personally prefer playing fighting games on a fightstick compared to a pad. If you can’t get the hang of playing on a PS3 pad then you may want to think about trying out a fightstick but these can get expensive, so just make sure it’s a game you know you’re going to play.

Overall I love playing this game and it’s probably my current most played game. I tend to keep on going back to it. I’d even go to say that this game is worth a 5/5.
