Strong or Weak for the Week: Gears of War Judgement, Hyperdimension Neptunia V and The Croods

Hello folks! Welcome back to Strong or Weak for the Week. In last weeks article, I went over God of War: Ascension, Starcraft 2, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. If you picked up any of those games, drop me a comment and let me know how they were! Featured comments will be on the following weeks article :)

Hyperdimension Neptunia V

So, my first game is released on 3/21. This game is called Hyperdimension Neptunia V. The “V” stands for Victory! This RPG game is the third game in the series. Neptune returns as the main character, and we see new and old faces as we advance through the game. The battle system has become more fast-paced than before, and character design has become immaculate. I know I love RPGs, and coupled with cute anime girls, epic costume design and more, this game is sure to hit the charts for all RPG lovers! Here are a couple screen shots:

So all in all, I’d say that Hyperdimension Neptunia V is going to be a STRONG game for all of us RPG gamers, like myself. If you’re not into the whole RPG scene, then this game probably isn’t for you.

Gears of War: Judgement

Next, we have Gears of War: Judgement! Releasing on 3/19, Gears of War: Judgement takes you back to the events that lead up to the Gears of War trilogy. That’s right folks, we’re going back in time to the aftermath of Emergence Day. This was the defining event/moment for the Gears of War Trilogy.

In this third-person shooter, you follow the Kilo Squad as they try to save Halvo Bay from an unstoppable enemy. Said to be the most exciting Gears yet, we can see why. New multiplayer experiences, updated gameplay and graphics design, and all new action that will have Gears fans drooling. This game is going to be STRONG this week!

The Croods: Prehistoric Party

Lastly for this week, we have The Croods: Prehistoric Party! This game releases 3/19 and is based off of the new movie: The Croods. Much like other Movie-to-Game video games, we see the characters go on a series of mini-quests and games to explore the entire area based off the movie. Although some move-to-game adaptations have done well, a lot of them don’t do so well unless you are letting the little tykes (kids) play them.

Unfortunately, I’ll have to say that to me, The Croods video game is going to be the weak game. Although popular with the kids, it may not be what anyone expects from a movie-to-game adaptation. But the colors used are pretty awesome. :)

Alright folks, well there you have it! This weeks set of games is sure to be for all types of players! RPGs, Third Person Shooters, and Kids-party games. If you picked up a copy of any of last weeks’ games: Starcraft 2, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, or God of War: Ascension, leave me a comment with how great it is! I’ll be doing featured comments on next weeks article.

In the mean time, check out some of our other articles at GameNTrain, such as my Week in Geek articles!

Have a good one!

Yeah! I’m an RPG gamer, so Neptunia looks like it’s going to be awesome! Have you played the other two games in the series?

Nice breakdown here. I am looking most forward to Gears Judgement. I do not plan on buying it on release day as my backlog is quickly growing, but it will make its way to my collection. Eventually. Maybe after a nice sale offer.
