Lacrosse is a sport which is extremely popular where I was born in Long Island, NY. It seems that every high school had a lacrosse team and took the sport seriously. Serious about the game or not, lacrosse can be used as an activity to maintain your fitness and have a blast with friends.

To explain the game simply, lacrosse is much like hockey except you are not on ice, and instead of sticks and a puck you run around with sticks with a basket on the end used to catch and throw the ball. Like hockey you will pass to teammates with one thing in mind… Get the ball past your opponents goalie and into the goal for a score. Like many other sports there are offensive players in charge of scoring and defensive players used to help protect their territory and goal with the goalie.

It may be difficult to field an entire lacrosse team to set up a game, but with a few friends you can easily set up a 2 on 2 game and have a blast. Have a look at the video below and see if you would be interested in this lifetime activity.
