For Greater Glory
The Cristero War serves as the backdrop of this historical drama following a group of devoted Mexican patriots who risk their lives to defeat an oppressive regime, and defend the freedom of future generations. Andy Garcia, Oscar Isaac, Eva Longoria, and Peter O’Toole star.
October Baby
As the curtain rises, Hannah hesitantly steps onto the stage for her theatrical debut in college. Yet before she can utter her first lines, Hannah–unscripted–collapses in front of the stunned audience.
After countless medical tests, all signs point to one underlying factor: Hannah’s difficult birth. This revelation is nothing compared to what she then learns from her parents: she was actually adopted…after a failed abortion attempt.
Bewildered, angered, and confused, Hannah turns for support to Jason, her oldest friend. Encouraged by his adventurous spirit, Hannah joins his group of friends on a Spring Break road trip, embarking on a journey to discover her hidden past…and find hope for her unknown future.
In the midst of her incredible journey, Hannah finds that life can be so much more than what you have planned.
The Loves Ones
Hell hath no fury like a woman scored — and her father — in this tense tale of terror from Australia. Brent (Xavier Samuel) is driving home late one night with his father when he swerves after seeing something in the road. The car spins out of control, and moments later Brent’s dad is dead. Brent is wracked with guilt over the incident, and sinks into a deep depression, only beginning to sort out his feelings when he begins dating one of his classmates, a pretty and nurturing girl named Holly (Victoria Thaine). However, another young woman at school, Lola (Robin McLeavy), has taken an interest in Brent, going so far as to ask him to escort her to an upcoming dance. Loyal Brent turns Lola down, but he learns the hard way she doesn’t handle disappointment well. Lola and her wealthy father (John Brumpton) force Brent to attend a private party at a cottage in the woods, where he’s the only guest and Lola and her dad proceed to mete out brutal punishment for daring to hurt her feelings. The Loved Ones was the first feature film from director and screenwriter Sean Byrne.
Girl in Progress
Grace (Eva Mendes) is a single mom. She is too busy juggling work, bills, and the very married Dr. Hartford (Matthew Modine), to give her daughter, Ansiedad (Cierra Ramirez) the attention she desperately needs. When Ansiedad’s English teacher, Ms. Armstrong (Patricia Arquette), introduces her students to classic coming-of-age stories, Ansiedad is inspired to skip adolescence and jump-start her life without mom. While Grace becomes preoccupied with the increasing affections of her co-worker (Eugenio Derbez), Ansiedad enlists the help of her loyal friend, Tavita (Raini Rodriguez), to plot her shortcut to “adulthood”. But as her misguided plan unravels, Ansiedad and Grace must learn that sometimes growing-up means acting your age.
Lola Versus
Greta Gerwig plays Lola, a 29-year-old woman dumped by her longtime boyfriend Luke (Joel Kinnaman) just three weeks before their wedding. With the help of her close friends Henry (Hamish Linklater) and Alice (Zoe Lister-Jones), Lola embarks on a series of desperate encounters in an attempt to find her place in the world as a single woman approaching 30.
Snow White and the Huntsman
In the epic action-adventure ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ Kristen Stewart (‘Twilight’) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the one girl threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, ‘Thor’) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.
What to Expect When You’re Expecting
Inspired by the perennial New York Times bestseller of the same name, ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting’ is a hilarious and heartfelt big screen comedy about five couples whose intertwined lives are turned upside down by the challenges of impending parenthood.
Over the moon about starting a family, TV fitness guru Jules and dance show star Evan find that their high-octane celebrity lives don’t stand a chance against the surprise demands of pregnancy. Baby-crazy author and advocate Wendy gets a taste of her own militant mommy advice when pregnancy hormones ravage her body; while Wendy’s husband, Gary, struggles not to be outdone by his competitive alpha-Dad, who’s expecting twins with his much younger trophy wife, Skyler. Photographer Holly is prepared to travel the globe to adopt a child, but her husband Alex isn’t so sure, and tries to quiet his panic by attending a “dudes” support group, where new fathers get to tell it like it really is. And rival food truck chefs Rosie and Marco’s surprise hook-up results in an unexpected quandary: what to do when your first child comes before your first date?
