If you’ve been playing PC games such as Counter-Strike since 2004, then you have probably heard of Pure Pwnage at least once.

Pure Pwnage started off as a online mockumentary from ROFLMAO productions. They released their first episode back in 2004 and since then the show has had two web series that ended in 2008 and one TV series that ended in 2010.

Talk of a second TV series and more webshows has not really happened until now. The people over at ROFLMAO Productions released a Youtube video announcing that they are creating a film based in the Pure Pwnage world and that they needed help to fund the movie. They set up a Kickstarter type campaign on Indiegogo and they were hoping to get at least $75,000 by Sunday November 18.

They have currently raised $129,000.

With the fundraiser proving to be a success and exceeding ROFLMAO’s goals, it looks like the film will be going ahead.

Pure Pwnage is about a gamer called Jeremy or ‘The Pwnerer’, his noob brother Kyle and his best friend Fps_Doug. The web series starts out with Kyle waking up Jeremy and reminding him that he said he could do a documentary about him for his film class.

The original web series consists of two different series; Series one containing 12 episodes and series two being incomplete with six episodes. One of the reasons the second series is incomplete is due to the fact that the actor who played T-Bag,  Troy Dixon, unfortunately died in a car accident on December 6, 2008. Since then, the show has come to a stop.

The next Pure Pwnage news the fans were given was that they were going to get their own TV Show that was broadcasted in Canada on Showcase on March 12, 2012. Seeing how I live in the United Kingdom,  this was quite difficult to get a hold of. But I managed to keep up to date while the series was being uploaded.

The news of the Pure Pwnage Film is big news for fans of Pure Pwnage and hopefully it’s something that will live up to the hype of the old series.
