In a recent interview with Videogamer, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, Hideo Kojima stated that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes may be too risky to see the light of day. Kojima explained to reporters that he thinks that “games have a long way to go before they can mature”.
During the interview, Kojima has said that he will “be targeting a lot of taboos, a lot of mature themes that are really quite risky”. Because of these themes, Kojima then told Videogamer that even if the game were released, it probably wouldn’t sell because it’s too much.
He then finished his statement saying that he is “approaching the project as a creator and prioritizing creativity over sales”.
