Riot Games has unleashed their newest champion, Syndra, the Dark Sovereign and a Champion Spotlight to go with her. Syndra is a ranged mage AP carry whose attacks stem from the use of Dark Spheres. Her primary attack creates a sphere, which remains for a few seconds and deals a small amount of damage. Force of Will allows her to capture dark spheres, enemy minions, and neutral monsters. Once captured they can be thrown, dealing damage and reducing the speed of whoever it hits. Scatter the Weak deals magic damage in a cone-shaped target area with enemies closer to Syndra getting the most damage. It also pushes enemies back and stuns them momentarily. Her ultimate is Unleashed Power, which gathers nearby dark spheres and hurls them at an enemy champion, each doing damage. Syndra’s passive ability is Transcendent, which gives a bonus to each of her abilities once they hit max level.
In addition to the release of Syndra, there are some other changes in the latest patch. The time window for multikills was increased from 8 seconds to 10. The variation of opponents in Co-Op vs AI has been increased. Several adjustments have been made to spectator mode. Lastly, changes were implemented in the ELO tiers and Season 2 rewards.
