Ice Age Village For Android

If you have been looking for an addictive game for your phone and something cute and possibly child friendly, then you may want to play Ice Age Village. It’s a free download from the Android market created by Gameloft. Ice Age Village is a type of game that you can usually find on Facebook where you have to wait so much time to pull in profits or to gain experience. You can pay for so much more money or acorns to purchase more decorations or families for your village.

The object of the game is to create a herd for your village. You purchase animals to make your herd and provide them with a family. You can purchase more of the same animal to build a family. A family is made up of two parents and two children. After you finish an objective you will be given more from the main characters. You can purchase decorations and other facilities to make the families happier to raise more money for expanding more. You can have places like a movie theater and a Scrat’s Kung Fu game. The bigger the community, the more experience and money you will earn.

The characters in the game are just like in the movies. Sid, Manny, and Diego are the main characters and are helping you start your herd. Scrat runs across your screen at times and if you tap him before he’s gone, he will reward you with money. And when you expand your territory Scrat shoves an acorn in the ground and breaks the ground like he does in the movies. There are a few other characters from the movies you may stumble upon at times who ask you to build things or start certain families for them.

The more you gain experience, the more you level up. And the more you level up, the more achievements you will earn. There is always more to be done to your village. More families and more decorations to be bought and built. Some families and decorations or facilities bring in more money but in order to buy them you need a whole lot of acorns so if you want them you may have to spend your own money to purchase an acorn pack for the game. If you don’t want to pay anything out of pocket you don’t have to. Just keep collecting slowly as you play or you just can’t get things like that. That is one of the downfalls in a game like this. Not all of it is open for just free play.

But it’s still a very addictive game and is a lot of fun. If you have patience to wait for money and experience to collect over time then this is a great game for you and/or your kids. It’s very cute and great for passing time. It had a few glitches of not paying you when you clicked on the movie theater and one where it wouldn’t open the game for about a month, but Gameloft has put an update out recently to fix it. Otherwise it’s a well rounded game.

Over all I give Ice Age Village a 3/5. I don’t always have patience to wait on everything to generate again but, I really enjoy this game other than that.
