An online petition, calling for a PC version of upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title Grand Theft Auto V, has just crossed the threshold of 150,000 signatures in a recent development which is certain to give Rockstar some food for thought.
The petition, hosted by Change.org, has been calling on PC gamers and GTA fans alike since November 2012 to sign the petition in the hope that Rockstar see fit to bring the game to the PC, as they eventually did with its predecessor GTA IV. Now this latest revelation will certainly present a glimmer of hope to all who have signed the petition, especially petition organiser Mike Julliard, and hopefully should strike a note with Dan Houser after his quotes relating to ‘appropriate business opportunity’ and the ‘chance to find a market.’
I believe that this may be the sign that both Rockstar and Dan Houser need to show them that bringing GTA V to the PC is a viable and popular business opportunity. GTA V will be making its way to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 17 September, 2013.
If you want to have your voice heard too, then you can sign the petition here.
