Ahh….. all the wonderful memories!

So our friends at Square Enix announced a new edition of Final Fantasy 7 with some new features, and none of them are updated graphics (which make me happy). Final Fantasy 7 is considered to be the best in the franchise by many people including Square Enix. So let’s take a look at those features shall we?  Thanks to Gameinformer for these technical specifications:

-Windows XP/Vista/7 (32 or 64 bit)

-2 GHz processor or faster

-1 Gig RAM

-Direct X 9 compatible graphics card

Final boss of ff7

Okay with all that out of the way I can tell you that the game now supports 36 achievements (for all the people who want to show off how cool they are), cloud saves (insert cloud joke here), and a character booster. The character booster is the worst of these features for the simple fact that Final Fantasy 7 is not a hard game. Why make it easier for people when it is fairly easy enough? I mean, sure you may have to do some grinding to gain a level or two to beat a boss but come on. You just know somebody is going to use the character booster to gain all the limits for every character and blow through the game. Ridiculous I tell you! Okay that is enough of me ranting….

No price or release date was stated when they made the announcement, but according to the official website the game is only available for purchase from the Square Enix store.  At least now you dont have to use multiple disks to install the game to your computer. That is the blessing in disguise here. Here is the link to the official site for all the information you may need. I will run an update post when a price and release date are announced.

I want it just to avoid installing from discs anymore, plus…no stupid patches
