The Assassin’s Creed franchise never stops to show the amazing effort the development teams do to show us a little bit of history with video games. Assassin’s Creed III takes place in in the years 1753-1783, that is before, during and after the American Revolution. This video shows one of most important event in American history: The Boston Tea Party. It was a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, which in that time was a city in the British colony of Massachusetts. The protests were against the tax policy of the British government and the East India Company that controlled all the tea imported into the colonies. Now I won’t spoil what happens in this event because it is a gamer’s duty to experience it in Assassin’s Creed III.
The second video is where Julien Laferriere, Associate Producer on Assassin’s Creed III is explaining to attendees of a press event how the homestead will work, what activities players can do and what kind of side missions are available. Finally he warns about the change in the combat system and how controls work this time around.
Players can experience the historical Boston Tea Party on Assassin’s Creed III landing on PS3(which can be preordered now on Playstation Network for $59.99) and Xbox 360 on November 30th, 2012. Later on November 18th,2012 the came will release as a launch title for Wii U. Finally the game will land for PC on November 23th,2012.
